        Attendance rules

        Applies to every employee. Reports are recalculated from raw scans on every view, so changes take effect immediately, including for past days.

        Shift

        An attendance day runs from "Day starts at" to the same time next day: a scan at 1:30 AM belongs to the previous day (as its check-out, with overtime past midnight). Checking in after Start + Grace counts as late. Regular hours are the time inside the shift, minus lunch.

        Lunch break (not counted)
        Overtime

        Leaving before the gate earns no overtime (lingering). Still in after the gate: overtime is counted from the shift End.

        Staying past "Dinner after" deducts the dinner break from overtime.

        Every hour on site is overtime on those days, with no overtime gate (lunch and the dinner break are still not counted). People exempt from overtime keep their normal hours.

        Working days

        No scan on a working day = absent. Other days show as day off.

        Scans

        A second scan this soon after the first is treated as the same check-in, not a check-out.

        Overtime exemptions

        Overtime is never counted for the people ticked here (e.g. admin, security). Everything else (late, hours, absence) still applies.

        Holidays & days off

        Nobody is marked absent or late on these days; anyone who does come in is still recorded. Applies to everyone, including past days. A single day can also be marked off from the Daily report.

        Checked every 6 hours from Google's public "Holidays in Pakistan" calendar, Eid and Punjab holidays included. Only today onwards is added. Islamic dates are estimates until the moon sighting and update with the calendar. Days you add always win; a day you remove isn't added back.

        For a whole year, past dates included, without the automatic check: Kashmir Day, Pakistan Day, Labour Day, Youm-e-Takbeer, Independence Day, Iqbal Day and Quaid-e-Azam Day (remove any your office works on).

            Extra working days

            A weekly off day (e.g. a Sunday) worked as a normal day: the shift applies, so no-shows are absent, late arrivals are late and hours are regular instead of all overtime. Today and past days can also be marked from the Daily report.
